Jeffrey J. Settecerri, M.D. – Pediatric Orthopaedics, Scoliosis, and Spinal Surgery

Jeffrey J. Settecerri, MD is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of children. He is a general Pediatric Orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in treating scoliosis but also manages children with other orthopaedic conditions such as clubfeet, fractures, sports injuries, and neuromuscular conditions. He has maintained continuous board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Settecerri is a native of Detroit and attended Brother Rice High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in Engineering Science and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton. He attended medical school at Wayne State University where he graduated with distinction and Alpha Omega Alpha honors.

For his Orthopaedic surgery residency, he attended the Mayo Clinic/ Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Settecerri then completed his medical training in Dallas at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children with the Dorothy Bryant Edwards fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is an active member in the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. He is also a member of state and local organizations and a past president of the Detroit Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Since his fellowship, Dr. Settecerri has been an attending Orthopedic Surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital. He is a member of the teaching faculty for the Beaumont Spine fellowship. He also is a member of the staff at Henry Ford Hospital. He is actively involved in training current residents in orthopedic surgery from both of these hospitals, the McLaren program in Flint, and has worked with many of the residents from the area’s Osteopathic programs.
