Lige M. Kaplan, M.D. – Adult Joint Reconstruction and Orthopaedic Surgery
Lige M. Kaplan M.D. is a staff orthopaedic surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak , Michigan. He has a special interest and advanced training in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee, including minimally invasive techniques and revision surgery.
Dr. Kaplan is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Miami University for undergraduate studies. After earning his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Kaplan completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In addition, he then completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
He plays an active role in the implant retrieval laboratory at the Beaumont Research Institute and his research has been presented at local, regional and national meetings. His research focuses on the advancement of hip and knee arthroplasty.
Dr. Kaplan is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His specialty affiliations include candidate membership in the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
