Paul T. Fortin, M.D. – Orthopaedic Surgery of the Foot and Ankle
Paul Fortin, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the foot and ankle and lower extremity deformity correction. His area of expertise is in the surgical salvage of complex traumatic, congenital, and degenerative foot and ankle conditions.
A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Dr. Fortin completed his post-graduate orthopaedic surgical training at the University of Michigan. In addition, Dr. Fortin completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Fortin is a certified member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is also a past president of the Detroit Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Fortin is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, a clinical faculty member of the Beaumont Oakland University Medical School. He also is active nationally in orthopaedic surgical education as a faculty member for numerous courses and symposia. He serves as a committee member on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has written and published numerous articles and book chapters concerning fracture care and disorders of the foot and ankle. Dr. Fortin is actively involved in clinical and basic science research endeavors and has been awarded numerous educational grants for his research.
