Paul Fortin, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in disorders of the foot and ankle.
A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Dr. Fortin completed post-graduate training at the University of Michigan. He also completed a fellowship at Union Memorial in Maryland for foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Fortin is a certified member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and Orthopaedic Trauma Association. He is also a past president of the Detroit Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Fortin is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and is active in the education and training of residents in orthopaedics. He also is active nationally in orthpaedic surgical education as a faculty member for numerous courses and symposia. He has written and published numerous articles and book chapters concerning fracture care and disorders of the foot and ankle. He is an editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma.
