Mark Jacobson, M.D. is a board certified Orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in traumatic and degenerative conditions of the adult spine.
Dr. Jacobson is a Michigan native and graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Jacobson completed his Orthopaedic residency at the Ohio State University. He served as chief resident in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in his final year and earned the resident of the year award. As part of his sub-specialty training, Dr. Jacobson completed a one year fellowship in spine surgery at the Harvard Combined Spine Surgery Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Dr. Jacobson's extensive fellowship training focused on operative and non-operative management of both common and complex degenerative and traumatic disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
Dr. Jacobson has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national conferences, and contributed to several book chapters on topics related to Orthopaedic and spine surgery. He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and member of the North American Spine Society.
