David Mayo, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon.  He specializes in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee.  This includes joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy, osteotomies for alignment correction, cartilage repair and ligament surgery.

A graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Dr. Mayo completed an orthopaedic residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  He then completed a fellowship in joint reconstruction at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Dr. Mayo is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Michigan Orthopaedic Society, Detroit Academy of Orthopaedics and Health Volunteers Overseas.  He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, and is active in the education and training of residents in orthopaedics.
